Hi, it’s Mari here! On my recent trip to Kanagawa, I finally visited Misaki Port, well-known for its incredible tuna. I’ve always wanted to try the seafood there, and Maguro Shokudo Shichibeimaru kept coming up in reviews as both affordable, tasty and popular with locals and travellers. So, naturally, I made sure to visit.
Whether you’re planning a day trip from Tokyo , this spot is a brilliant choice for seafood lovers.
Basic Info & How to Get There
Location
A 4-minute walk from Misaki Port (Misaki-ko) bus stop. From Misakiguchi Station, hop on a bus heading to the port – very easy access.
Parking
Free parking is available for 3 to 4 cars in the lot right next to the shop. Additionally, there are paid parking lots located very close by.
Payment
Cash, credit cards and most e-payments accepted – which is really helpful for visitors.
Ordering system

Scan the QR code at the table to order. You can change language and text size, and the menu has photos, categories and even a special section for those using the Misaki Maguro Day Trip Ticket (Misaki Maguro Kippu). Very user-friendly.
When it gets busy, there’s a tablet check-in system at the entrance, but it wasn’t in use during my visit.
Atmosphere & Seating

I arrived around 12:30 on a weekday and walked straight in without waiting. The restaurant was roughly 80% full and lively, but not loud.
1F
The ground floor has tables seats for two, which are perfect for solo travellers or couples.
2F
Table seating for four – ideal for small groups.
Overall vibe
Simple, casual, quick-service seafood restaurant with fresh fish taking centre stage.
What I Ordered – The Popular Misaki Bowl (¥1,980)
There were plenty of tempting dishes on the menu, like natural bluefin tuna sashimi sets and seafood rice bowls. I chose the classic Misaki Bowl, topped with three types of tuna:

• Lean tuna (akami)
• Albacore (binchō maguro)
• Minced fatty tuna (negitoro)
The bowl came generous in size and visually impressive. A real moment of happiness when it arrived!
Tasting Review – Fresh, Rich and Worth the Price

The quality was surprisingly high. Everything tasted fresh, clean and well-balanced with the warm vinegared rice.
Breakdown of flavours:
• Akami: Smooth texture with a clean, savoury flavour.
• Binchō: Slightly fatty, melts nicely with the rice.
• Negitoro: Soft and lightly sweet, it was incredibly moreish.
For ¥1,980, it isn’t the cheapest bowl in Japan, but considering portion size and freshness, it felt completely justified. I left thinking “I’d order this again.”

After Lunch – Stroll to Urari Marche

Right across the street is Urari Marche, a waterfront market selling fresh fish, dried seafood, seasonal vegetables and local products. It’s a great place to buy souvenirs or enjoy a relaxed walk by the harbour after lunch.
Food + market stroll = ideal Misaki Port experience.
Final Thoughts
Maguro Shokudo Shichibeimaru is a must-visit for tuna fans exploring Misaki Port. The Misaki Port tuna bowl was fresh, satisfying and good value, and I’d love to return to try their natural bluefin set next time.
