Fresh & Affordable Sushi Lunch at Isomaru-A quiet little spot just steps from Atami Station

Whenever I’m in Atami and debating where to have lunch, I somehow always end up walking towards Isomaru. This branch sits on Nakamise Street, a small shopping arcade right by Atami Station, and it has become one of my go-to spots for a quick but genuinely good sushi meal.

Compared with the busier Heiwa-dōri branch just around the corner, the Nakamise Street location feels calmer, less touristy, and perfect for a casual drop-in lunch. If you’re searching for a fresh, great-value Atami Isomaru lunch, this is the branch I’d recommend first.

Basic Info

• Name: Isomaru – Nakamise Street Branch
• Address: Tawarahonchō, Atami, Shizuoka (inside Nakamise Street arcade)
• Access: About 1–2 minutes’ walk from Atami Station
• Opening Hours:
• Lunch 11:00–16:00
• Dinner 17:00–20:00
• Wednesdays: 11:00–16:00 only
• Closed: Thursdays
• Reservations: Not available
• How to queue: Write your name on the list outside; there are no numbered tickets
• Payment: Cash, credit cards and mobile QR payments accepted
• Seating: Around 7 counter seats + four two-person tables (non-smoking)

The shop is tiny, so parties of three or more will almost always be separated. If you’re eating as a group, the Heiwa-dōri branch (which is larger and has more tables) is the better option.
